Day 01: ARRIVAL IN KATHMANDU.
Upon arrival at the airport our representative will meet the group and transfer to Hotel. Rooms will be assigned followed by short briefing about your stay and tours programms in Nepal. Dinner and Overnight in Hotel.
Day 02: THREE QUEEN CITY TOUR.
AM: Departure from your hotel at 9 am for sightseeing tour to Kathmandu durbar Square (Palace) which contains many of the finest temples, sculpture and monuments in the Valley. Visit Kasthamandap a rest house in Pagoda style architecture is said to have been built with the woods of a single tree. Kumari chowk of the home of Living goddess who is considered to be the incarnation of the godess Teleju. Then proceed on to the hill top Swayambhunath stypa one of the world's oldest and most glorious Buddhist Chaityas offers an excellent view of the Kathmandu Valley. Enroute Visit Natural Museum in Chawani.
PM: 2 PM: Sightseeing tour to Patan Durbar square – full of ancient palaces, temples and shrines noted for their exquisite carving. Visit to Krishna mandir, The royal bath called Tushahity in the Center of Sundari Chowk – a master pice of stone architecture. Then we visit Jwalakhel – Tibetan refugee camp- where one can see them weaving carpets, and their showroom where one can buy them. Dinner and overnight in Hotel.
Day 03: KATHMANDU – JANAKPUR
Departure from Kathmandu for Janakpur by flight. Upon arrival in Janakpur airport, receive and transfer to hotel. Rooms will be assigned followed by short briefing about your tour programms. Lunch in Janakpur hotel.
PM: Afternoon: Sightseeing tour to Janaki Temple. The city's most famous landmark is a large and artistic marble temple of Janaki. Janaki mandir (temple) was built by queen vrish Bhanu of the Indian state of Jikamgarh in the early 20th century. It is belived that Rs900000. was spent in the constructing the temple. This is also known as Naulakha temple. Ram Temple and Hanuman temple are 2 other temples in Janakpur. Visit to Danush Sagar Pond, which is considered another holy site of Janakpur. It is also famous as a center of Maithali culture in Nepal. Dinner and Overnight in Hotel.
Day 04: JANAKPUR – HETAUDA
After breakfast we leave Janakpur for our next destination to Hetauda in Tourist Coach, which approximately take 5-6 hrs east-west highway along the teria belt, meaning we drive straight no – uphill & down hill. Enroute we stop at various interesting places. Upon arrival at Hetauda, refreshment will be served and in short while – rooms will be assigned followed by short briefing about your next programms.
PM: Sightseeing in Hetauda's main interesting places temples and old Market area. Dinner and overnight in hotel.
Day 05: HETAUDA – ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK
We leave Hetauda after breakfast – for Royal Chitwan National Park one of the Asia's most famous National Park and a world heritage declared by UNESCO. Upon arrival at Chitwan National Park – refreshment & welcome drinks will be served at the Safari resort followed by room assignment and short briefing about your wildlife activities. After a while Lunch will be served in the central dinning.
PM: Nature walk/bird watching. We go out for a short nature walk in near by forest – Just to have a familirsation about Chitwan forest. Some time if we are lucky we may is
the Rhinoceros in riverbank & ponds. You will experience & see the beautiful birds of
the area and some deer's enroute to your resort. Nepalese buffet dinner and Tharu culture
folk dance.
Day 06: FULL DAY IN PARK (RESORT)
Early morning wake up call at 6 am with Tea/Coffee. Breakfast will be served at 7 am in
the central dinning hall. After breakfast there will be CANOEING in the Rapti river.
Today in canoeing tours we will try to locate the animals of the river banks and colourful
water birds and of course, the Marsh Mugger crocodile, sometime basking on the river
bank. After canoe tour we then visit the elephant-breeding center – where elephants are
breed in captivity back to the safari resort. Lunch: In the central dinning hall.
PM: Elephant back safari – seated high above the lesser jungles & elephant gram we
explore the area in search of one horned rhinoceros, four types of deer, wild boar,
leopard, sloth bear monkeys and if lucky the illusive Royal Bengal Tiger. Many colourful
birds of the park make the forest alive. Nepalese buffet dinner in the central dinning hall.
Day 07: ROYAL CHITWAN NATIONAL PARK – LUMBINI
Early morning wake up call at 6 am with Tea/Coffee. After awhile there will be a last visit to the Tharu village, the ethnic tube of Chitwan Or go for a nature walk to the surrounding forest. Back to Resort. Breakfast is served then we prepare to leave Chitwan for our onward destination to Lumbini. "The world centre of eternal peace". The drive to Lumbini will be approumately 4-5 hrs along the east/west highway – through the med hills of Mahabhart and churia hills. Pack lunch is served enroute.
Day 08: FULL DAY SIGHTSEEING TOURS IN LUMBINI
AM: Lumbini is the birthplace of Gautam Buddha the apostle of peace and non-violence. Lumbini, recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO, is being developed with international support as the supreme Buddhist pilgrimage and symbol of world peace.
There is a large stone pillar in Lumbini created by the Indian Emperor Ashoka in 250 B.C to mark the nativity site, i.e., to mark the site where Buddha was born. This pillar is known as the Ashoka pillar, which carries an inscription identifying the spot as the birthplace. It is believed that Emperor Ashoka visited Lumbini in the twentieth year of his coronation.
Mayadevi Temple is the next important shrine in Lumbini. The excavations of the Temple site have turned up a stone bearing a "foot imprint." indicating the exact birthplace. The image of Mayadevi in the temple shows Maya Devi supporting herself by holding on to a branch of Sal tree (shorea robust) and the new born infant standing upright on lotus pedestal.
To the south of the temple is a pond known as Puskarini. It is believed that Maya Devi had taken both in this pond just before giving birth to siddhartha Gautam.
PM: Tilaurakot is an important archaeological site lying to the west of Lumbini. It is about 24 Km away from Lumbini in the eastern bank of the river Banaganga. Therefore, it takes only half an hour by car or bus from Lumbini to reach Tilaurakot. Tilaurakot lies in the Kapilvastu district, about 3 km from the town Taulihawa, the headquarter of the district.
Tilaurakot evolves the ancient palace of King Suddhodhan, the father of Lord Buddha. Buddha has spent his formative years as a shakya Prince in this beautiful area. Tilaurakot was thus the capital of ancient Kapilvastu kingdom, then governed by the shakya dynasty.
Day 09: LUMBINI – POKHARA
After breakfast we leave Lumbini for Pokhara: "Paradise on Earth". Also known as the
gateway for trekkers. Pokhara City of lakes & mountain. Lunch in Pokhara hotel. Afternoon: City sightseeing in an around Pokhara valley. Dinner and overnight in Hotel in Pokhara.
Day 10: FULL DAY POKHARA
Full day sight seeing in Pokhara.
Day 11: POKHARA –MANAKAMANA – KATHMANDU
Departure from Pokhara for our final destination to Kathmandu. Enroute to kathmandu
we stop at Kurintar. In Kurintar we take the cable car to MANAKAMANA shrine in the
hill top a holy Pilgrim center for Nepalese and from this place we have the panoramic
view of the snow clad himalayas. Lunch in Manakamana. After lunch we then take the
cable car back to Kurintar and proceed on in Coach for drive back to Kathmandu. Dinner & Overnight in Kathmandu hotel.
Day 12: MOUNTAIN FLIGHT (1 HOUR)
One-hour mountain flight over the snow clad himalayas ranges from SAGARMATHA
(EVEREST) to Annapurna himal in he west. Back to hotel. Rest of the day free:
Shopping or stroll down town to durbar Square.
Day 13: FINAL DEPARTURE
