Godavari Phulchoki Tour
Godavari is a perfect delight for those who wish to get lost in the blissfulness of nature. The greenery is astounding and the place is home to a tremendous variety of birds. The Botanical Garden is situated here. Spread over 24 hectares of land, the garden has a fascinating collection of plants including orchids, ferns, cacti and lotuses. It is also a favorite spot for picnickers from Kathmandu. The other enticement of Godavari is its sacred pond at Panch Dhara. A grand festival is held here once every 12 years. Hindus believe that a ritual bath in the sacred pond during the festival absolves them from all sin. Phulchoki, at 2,762 m, is the highest of the peaks ringing the Kathmandu Valley. This vantage point offers an unobstructed 360-degree view of the Valley's clustered settlements and the expansive Terai to the south. A 320-km panorama of the Himalaya from Annapurna to Everest can also be enjoyed from this hill-top. Around Kathmandu valley, the Godavari Phulchoki trekking is perhaps the most fascinating wilderness exploration trip. The village of Godavari lies at the foot of Phulchoki. Nepal’s famous Botanical garden with a fascinating collection of plants is in the village. The trek from Godavari to the summit of Phulchoki has excellent bird watching opportunities, including the rare endemic Spiny Babbler. Phulchoki 2,762m is the highest peak ringing the Kathmandu valley.

Itineraries of Godavari Phulchoki Tour. |
Day 01: Arrive in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel. Overnight Hotel.
Day 02: After breakfast, half day sight seeing tour to Kirtipur an Ancient Newari Settlement
Day 03: An hour Drive to Godavari, explore village and over night camp.
Day 04: Visit out farm and Botanical Garden and overnight camp.
Day 05: Forest hiking and bird watching up Phulchoki.
Day 06: Visit local school and village.
Day 07: Drive back to Kathmandu and overnight hotel.
Day 08: Everest Mountain flight in the morning. Free after noon for shopping.
Day 09: departure onward journey.
